ラ・ヴォーリア・マッタ | LA VOGLIA MATTA

Cinemavixion Review

Luciano Salce's 1962 film, 'La voglia matta' (translated as 'Mad Desire'), offers a poignant exploration of aging and the yearning for lost youth. The story centers on Antonio, a man in his forties, who encounters a group of spirited young people during a trip. Drawn into their playful world of jokes and spontaneous games, Antonio finds himself reminiscing about his own adolescence. This nostalgic journey takes a romantic turn as he falls for a sixteen-year-old girl, blurring the lines between past and present, experience and innocence. The film stars Ugo Tognazzi and Catherine Spaak, promising a compelling dynamic as they navigate themes of desire and the passage of time.
