LA DONNA DELLA DOMENICA

Cinemavixion Review

Luigi Comencini's 'La donna della domenica' plunges us into the labyrinthine investigation of Police Commissioner Santamaria as he probes the murder of the enigmatic architect Garrone. The inquiry swiftly draws him into Turin's sophisticated elite, yet the path to clarity is fraught with ambiguity, further complicated by a subsequent homicide. The film masterfully weaves a tale of suspense, exploring the complex social strata and hidden motives within the city's upper echelons. Marcello Mastroianni and Jacqueline Bisset lend their considerable talents to this compelling mystery, navigating a narrative that keeps the audience guessing until the very end.
