LA CASA SPERDUTA NEL PARCO

Cinemavixion Review

Ruggero Deodato's 1980 film, 'La Casa Sperduta Nel Parco,' plunges viewers into a disturbing narrative of social class and escalating violence. The plot centers on Tom, a wealthy landowner who orchestrates a cruel game, inviting two troubled youths, Alex and Ricky, to his lavish villa for his own amusement. What begins as a condescending social experiment quickly devolves as Alex, a predatory rapist, and Ricky, a mentally unstable individual, reveal their true, brutal natures. The film explores themes of exploitation and the dark underbelly of privilege, showcasing a shocking descent into depravity that leaves a lasting, unsettling impression. Starring David Hess, Annie Belle, and Christian Borromeo, Deodato crafts a visceral and confrontational cinematic experience that probes the depths of human cruelty.
