KRISPR

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Krispr,' director Petrie Willink crafts a chilling domestic thriller that delves into the perilous consequences of unchecked scientific ambition. The narrative centers on Dr. Elijah Roelof, whose creation becomes an unwelcome guest during a family Christmas, unraveling a tapestry of envy and dread. Willink, alongside Jeremiah JJ Roberts, expertly builds a palpable sense of unease, transforming a seemingly festive occasion into a descent into horror. The performances by Sof Puchley and Ash Maure Felkner anchor the film's emotional core, portraying a family grappling with an encroaching terror. While the film explores familiar themes of scientific hubris, its tight pacing and atmospheric tension make it a compelling watch for fans of psychological horror. The IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, but the film's ambitious premise and execution warrant attention.
