KREWS

Cinemavixion Review

Hilbert Hakim's 2010 crime thriller, "Krews," plunges viewers into a volatile night where a simple car-jacking escalates into a complex entanglement of shifting loyalties and unexpected opportunities. The film masterfully pits two white-collar professionals against a group of thugs, creating a tense microcosm of societal friction within a single, explosive setting. Brian Geraghty and Jonathan Cake deliver compelling performances as the cornered protagonists, navigating a treacherous landscape where fortunes are reversed and survival hinges on wit and sheer desperation. The narrative unfolds with a raw energy, exploring themes of class conflict and the opportunistic nature of survival. While not a widely recognized blockbuster, "Krews" offers a gripping and unpredictable cinematic experience, showcasing a tight script and strong direction that makes for a memorable, albeit gritty, crime drama.
