KISS OF THE TARANTULA

Cinemavixion Review

Chris Munger's "Kiss of the Tarantula" from 1975 plunges into the dark psyche of a troubled adolescent. The narrative unfolds as a disturbed teenage girl, driven by unknown resentments, unleashes her venomous pet tarantula upon those she perceives as adversaries. This low-budget horror offering, despite its potentially campy premise, delves into themes of revenge and isolation. The performances, particularly from the lead, navigate the character's descent into vengeful madness. While the special effects and production values reflect its era, the film's unsettling atmosphere and its exploration of a young mind's dangerous obsessions offer a peculiar yet compelling viewing experience for fans of cult horror cinema.
