KISS KISS

Cinemavixion Review

The 2019 independent film "Kiss Kiss" presents a stark shift from its convivial title, plunging four friends into a harrowing fight for survival during what begins as a decadent wine tasting. While the premise suggests a potential for dark comedy or suspense, the film leans into a more visceral, action-oriented narrative as detailed in its plot. The ensemble cast, featuring Natascha Hopkins, Bobby Scalercio, and Nathalia Castellon, navigates this abrupt turn of events, grounding the escalating danger in their shared predicament. Director Dallas King crafts a narrative that explores how quickly luxury can devolve into desperation, offering a tense, albeit grim, exploration of friendship tested under extreme duress. The film's modest production and reception, reflected in its IMDb rating, suggest it is a niche thriller, rewarding viewers who appreciate a direct and unvarnished descent into a survival scenario.
