KIN DREAD

Cinemavixion Review

Adrian Leon's 'Kin Dread' plunges viewers into a chilling narrative centered on a reclusive sound designer grappling with retrograde amnesia. The film masterfully intertwines the protagonist's internal struggle with a series of escalating murders within his apartment building. As the violence unfolds, fragmented memories surface, propelling him into a desperate race against time to unmask the killer and confront his own buried past. Ethan Smart delivers a compelling performance, embodying the character's isolation and mounting dread. The supporting cast, including Patrick Cupo and Elinor Gunn, effectively navigate the film's tense atmosphere. While the IMDB rating suggests a mixed reception, the intriguing premise and the exploration of memory and identity make 'Kin Dread' a noteworthy thriller for those who appreciate a suspenseful journey into the darker corners of the human psyche.
