KILLER MOM

Cinemavixion Review

Christine Conradt's "Killer Mom" (2017) presents a taut thriller centered on Jessica, a mother whose desperate financial situation drives her to seek out the daughter she gave up for adoption, Allison. The film masterfully navigates the complex dynamics as Allison, recently orphaned and set to inherit a substantial fortune, cautiously welcomes Jessica into her life. However, the warmth is quickly overshadowed by the growing suspicions of Allison's sister, Sydni, and guardian, Manny. The narrative builds suspense as Jessica's true intentions—to seize control of Allison's inheritance through any means necessary, including murder—become chillingly apparent. Starring Kirby Bliss Blanton and Karen Cliche, "Killer Mom" offers a compelling, albeit dark, exploration of maternal manipulation and greed, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats until its dramatic conclusion.
