KILLER GRADES

Cinemavixion Review

In "Killer Grades," audiences are drawn into the seemingly idyllic world of academic achievement, only to have it unravel into a chilling mystery. The film centers on Katherine, a proud mother whose daughter Michelle secures a coveted spot on the academic decathlon team. However, this triumph quickly sours as a mysterious death and a student's hospitalization cast a dark shadow over the team's pursuits. Directed by Jose Montesinos, the film stars Laurie Fortier and Megan Ashley Brown, who navigate the escalating tension with compelling performances. While the external data notes a runtime of 88 minutes and a genre classification of Mystery/Thriller, the core of the narrative lies in Katherine's dawning suspicion that the competitive environment harbors darker secrets. The plot summary, consistent across both datasets, effectively sets up a suspenseful premise that questions the true cost of success. "Killer Grades" offers a cautionary tale, blending the pressures of high-stakes academic competition with a gripping suspense that keeps viewers questioning the motives behind the unfolding events.
