KILL DJANGO... KILL FIRST

Cinemavixion Review

Sergio Garrone's "Kill Django... Kill First" plunges viewers into a gritty Italian Western landscape, offering a familiar yet compelling tale of greed and retribution. The narrative centers on Johnny's struggle against the unscrupulous banker Burton, who, aided by the enigmatic bandit Martinez, seeks to seize local gold mines through illicit means. Giacomo Rossi Stuart leads the charge as Johnny, embodying the stoic resilience often found in the genre, supported by strong performances from Krista Nell and Aldo Sambrell. While the film may not break new ground in its thematic explorations of frontier justice, its execution is solid, capturing the harsh beauty and inherent violence of the Wild West. The pacing keeps the tension simmering, leading to a satisfying, albeit predictable, confrontation. For fans of Spaghetti Westerns, this offers a robust slice of the genre's classic appeal.
