KIDS, KNIVES & BROKEN LIVES

Cinemavixion Review

Jezza Neumann's "Kids, Knives & Broken Lives" offers a stark, unflinching look at the realities faced by young men involved in knife and gun culture on the streets of Britain. Through its raw exploration, the film endeavors to present the perspectives of those often judged but seldom heard. Neumann navigates the complex social landscapes of London, Manchester, and Bradford, seeking to understand the motivations and experiences behind the headlines. While the documentary format means it foregoes traditional narrative arcs, it succeeds in its aim to foster a deeper, more nuanced understanding of a critical societal issue. The film serves as a vital, albeit sobering, testament to the voices shaping contemporary urban Britain, encouraging viewers to look beyond the surface and engage with challenging truths.
