KIDS IN AMERICA

Cinemavixion Review

"Kids in America" offers a refreshing, albeit predictable, take on the high school rebellion genre. The film, released in 2005, centers on a diverse group of students who unite against a tyrannical principal, embodying a spirit of youthful defiance. Directed by Josh Stolberg, the narrative, while familiar, is elevated by a committed cast, including Gregory Smith, Julie Bowen, and Malik Yoba, who bring authenticity to their roles. The movie captures the universal struggle for individuality against oppressive authority, resonating with audiences who appreciate tales of solidarity and overcoming adversity. While not a critical darling, its earnest portrayal of adolescent solidarity makes it a watchable, feel-good comedy that champions the power of collective action.
