KIDNAPPED IN ROMANIA

Cinemavixion Review

Carlo Fusco's 2016 thriller, "Kidnapped in Romania," plunges viewers into a tense narrative following a pair of Italo-American journalists who vanish while on assignment in the Eastern European nation. The film, featuring a notable cast including Michael Madsen, Andrea Stefancikova, and Paul Sorvino, attempts to weave a suspenseful tale of disappearance and potential peril. While the premise holds promise for a gripping cinematic experience, the execution, as suggested by its low IMDb rating of 2.5/10, may not fully satisfy audiences seeking a polished thriller. However, for those intrigued by the stark realities of investigative journalism in perilous environments or drawn to the performances of its seasoned actors, "Kidnapped in Romania" offers a gritty, albeit flawed, exploration of a dangerous assignment gone awry.
