KIDNAPPED IN ROMANIA

Cinemavixion Review

In "Kidnapped in Romania," director Carlo Fusco presents a taut thriller that plunges viewers into the disquieting disappearance of a pair of Italo-American journalists. The film, released in 2016, navigates the perilous landscape of their work assignment, where professional curiosity quickly devolves into a desperate fight for survival. Anchored by a compelling performance from Michael Madsen, alongside Andrea Stefancikova and Paul Sorvino, the narrative skillfully builds suspense, exploring themes of danger and resilience in an unfamiliar territory. While the IMDb rating suggests a challenging reception, the film's commitment to its grim premise and the palpable tension it generates offer a noteworthy, albeit harrowing, cinematic experience that probes the fragility of safety when one ventures too far off the beaten path.
