KARMA: DEATH AT LATIGO SPRINGS

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Karma: Death at Latigo Springs,' director Elizabeth Blake-Thomas crafts a narrative that delves into the lingering shadows of the past. Following her mother's death, Charley Stevens (Isabella Blake-Thomas) relocates to the seemingly tranquil Latigo Springs, a town steeped in her mother's history. What begins as a quest for peace soon transforms into a descent into mystery as Charley is tormented by unsettling nightmares and visions. These disturbing episodes serve as fragmented clues, hinting at a tragic event that compelled her mother to leave the town years prior. As Charley navigates this labyrinth of buried secrets, she finds herself entangled in a dangerous interplay of burgeoning romance and escalating peril. The film adeptly weaves these elements together, suggesting that the truths Charley unearths hold the potential for profound revelation or utter devastation. The ensemble cast, featuring notable performances from Tony Todd, Terry Hu, and Natasha Henstridge, supports Blake-Thomas's vision of a suspenseful journey into inherited trauma and unresolved mysteries.
