JUST BUSINESS

Cinemavixion Review

In the shadowy world of high-stakes thievery, "Just Business" presents a compelling narrative of a retired cat burglar lured back for one last, fateful score. The film masterfully weaves a tale of deception and familial obligation as Elizar Perla's final heist unravels, leaving his daughter Marty, portrayed with gritty determination by Gina Gershon, entangled in a dangerous web. Director Jonathan Dueck crafts a taut thriller where the true value of stolen art transcends mere monetary worth. As Marty reluctantly partners with the enigmatic David Gray, she uncovers layers of deceit that suggest the stakes are far higher than initially perceived. The film excels in its slow-burn tension and the exploration of trust and betrayal, offering a sophisticated dive into the consequences of a life lived on the edge.
