Cinemavixion Review

This film, 'Journey to the West: Ask Tao,' plunges into the epic conflict between gods and demons, a saga stretching back to the universe's genesis. At its heart is Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, who finds himself an outcast from the demon world after defeating his former comrade, Niu Mo Wang. His journey alongside the demon hunter Hua Qing is a quest to protect the creatures of the demon realm. However, the narrative is complicated by the emergence of Hong Hai Er, a young demon seeking to resurrect the demon race's honor and exact vengeance on Sun Wukong. Hong Hai Er's rise to power as the king of the demons, fueled by his formidable magic, ushers in an era of chaos and bloodshed. The film explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the cyclical nature of conflict, set against a backdrop of mythical beings and ancient grudges.
