JOSHUA THE BLACK RIDER

Cinemavixion Review

Joshua The Black Rider' plunges us into a post-Civil War America seething with unresolved racial tensions. Fred Williamson stars as Joshua, a Union soldier returning home to a devastating discovery: his mother has been murdered by a brutal gang. Fueled by a righteous fury, Joshua transforms into a relentless bounty hunter, his quest for vengeance a dark mirror to the violence he witnessed on the battlefield. Director Larry G. Spangler crafts a gritty narrative that explores themes of loss, justice, and the enduring scars of war and racism. Williamson delivers a powerful performance, embodying Joshua's grief and steely resolve. The film's stark portrayal of the era's harsh realities and Joshua's personal crusade for retribution makes for a compelling, albeit somber, cinematic experience.
