JEZEBEL'S REIGN OF POWER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the complex figure of Jezebel, a Phoenician princess who dramatically influenced biblical history. The narrative explores her controversial reign as queen of Israel, married to King Ahab, and her audacious introduction of the pagan god Baal and his priests into the heart of Israelite territory. The stark contrast between her foreign religious practices and the established Israelite faith sets the stage for inevitable conflict, famously embodied by the prophet Elijah's strong opposition. The film promises an insightful examination of how Jezebel became one of the Bible's most potent and polarizing femme fatales, dissecting the political and religious machinations that defined her legacy.
