JESSE | VIGILANTE JUSTICE

Cinemavixion Review

Fred Carpenter's "JESSE | Vigilante Justice" plunges into the gritty underbelly of the NYPD, following a detective driven by a personal vendetta. The narrative hinges on her relentless pursuit of justice for her murdered brother, a quest that blurs the lines between law enforcement and vigilantism. Stephanie Finochio delivers a compelling performance as the conflicted protagonist, embodying the raw emotion and steely resolve required by the role. William Forsythe and Armand Assante lend their seasoned presence to the supporting cast, adding gravitas to the unfolding drama. While the film explores familiar tropes of the crime thriller genre, its focus on the protagonist's internal struggle and her descent into vigilantism offers a compelling character study. The film invites viewers to question the nature of justice and the sacrifices one is willing to make in its name.
