JERUZALEM

Cinemavixion Review

Doron and Yoav Paz's "JeruZalem" plunges viewers into a terrifyingly immediate biblical apocalypse, experienced through the eyes of two American tourists. The film masterfully blends found-footage elements with a visceral, first-person perspective, making the descent into chaos all the more harrowing. Yael Grobglas, Yon Tumarkin, and Danielle Jadelyn deliver compelling performances as their vacation takes a nightmarish turn, facing demonic forces unleashed upon the Holy City. While the narrative takes a familiar path into supernatural horror, the unique setting and relentless pacing elevate "JeruZalem" beyond typical genre fare. Its depiction of a sacred site under siege by ancient evils offers a chilling, if sometimes uneven, cinematic experience that resonates with a sense of dread and desperate survival.
