JAMES MAY'S TOY STORIES: ACTION MAN AT THE SPEED OF SOUND

Cinemavixion Review

In "James May's Toy Stories: Action Man At The Speed Of Sound," James May embarks on an ambitious mission to redefine the legacy of the beloved Action Man figure. The documentary chronicles the challenge of equipping this iconic toy with the capability to break the sound barrier, a feat previously unattained by any toy. May's endeavor delves into the toy's history of unfulfilled potential, contrasting its promising features—such as its 'eagle eyes' and 'gripping hands'—with its lack of significant accomplishments. This project aims not only to test the ingenuity of May and his team but also to restore Action Man's tarnished reputation by pushing the boundaries of what's possible in toy engineering and adventure. The narrative promises a compelling exploration of nostalgia, innovation, and the sheer determination required to achieve the extraordinary.
