JAM HANDY TO THE RESCUE!

Cinemavixion Review

Jam Handy to the Rescue! offers a delightful and insightful journey into the often-overlooked world of industrial and educational filmmaking, spearheaded by the prolific Jam Handy Organization. Larry Blamire, known for his unique comedic sensibilities, not only stars but also lends his sharp writing to this Ballyhoo Motion Pictures production. The featurette, running at a concise 23 minutes, humorously and informatively chronicles the company's significant impact on mid-20th-century media, particularly through shorts like "Hired!". Daniel Griffith's direction, coupled with Blamire's presence, transforms a historical overview into an engaging narrative. This piece is a must-watch for anyone interested in the history of cinema, corporate communication, or simply a well-crafted, entertaining documentary that sheds light on a fascinating bygone era of film production.
