IRON RIDGE

Cinemavixion Review

Stu Brumbaugh's "Iron Ridge" offers a visceral plunge into the unforgiving wilderness, inspired by the director's own harrowing experiences. The film masterfully captures the isolating grandeur of the Iron Ridge mountains, setting the stage for a primal confrontation. As two friends seeking an escape from urban life find themselves stranded, the narrative escalates from survival to a desperate fight against a formidable grizzly bear. Brumbaugh's direction imbues the story with a raw authenticity, amplified by the grounded performances of the cast, particularly the compelling presence of Brutus the Bear. While the film's IMDb rating suggests a niche appeal, its direct, unvarnished approach to man versus nature makes it a compelling watch for those seeking an intense, character-driven survival tale.
