INVASIVE SPECIES

Cinemavixion Review

In the desolate mountains of late 1930s China, a plane crash strands a disparate group of passengers in a remote village, only for them to discover a far more sinister threat lurking within its confines. This film masterfully builds suspense, eschewing jump scares for a palpable sense of dread that will appeal to fans of classic giant insect creature features like "Mimic" and "Them!". The deliberate, atmospheric pacing allows the tension to mount, creating a truly unsettling experience that prioritizes psychological horror and the primal fear of the unknown over gratuitous action. It's a welcome addition to the sci-fi horror genre, offering a chilling narrative that lingers long after the credits roll.
