INSIDE THE VEGAS HOTEL MURDER: HOLIDAY GAME TURNED DEADLY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the dark underbelly of seemingly glamorous lives, presenting two gripping real-life crime sagas. The first narrative follows the tragic end of Canadian poker player Donald Idines in Las Vegas, a debt collection gone fatally wrong, sparking an international manhunt for his killer, Greg Chow. The chilling discovery of a second victim, Danny Kim, initially a red herring, adds a layer of complexity to the investigation. The film expertly navigates the meticulous work of detectives, utilizing CCTV footage and forensic evidence to bring the perpetrator to justice. The second case transports us to the French Riviera, detailing the disappearance of Anthony Ashley Cooper, the 10th Earl of Shaftesbury. What unfolds is a disturbing tale of familial betrayal, excess, and a gruesome murder, where investigators piece together clues from intercepted communications and surveillance to uncover a conspiracy driven by greed. The documentary excels at illustrating how hidden lives can unravel into tragedy, leaving audiences with a profound sense of the intricate and often brutal nature of crime.
