INSIDE THE MAFIA: THE MURDER OF PEPPINO IMPASTATO | GREAT CRIMES AND TRIALS | ABSOLUTE CRIME

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling 1978 murder of Peppino Impastato, a stark contrast to the vast criminal enterprise led by mafia boss Gaetano Badalamenti. While authorities initially dismissed Impastato's death as a tragic accident or suicide, his family and supporters vehemently contested this narrative. The film powerfully chronicles the Impastato family's quarter-century-long pursuit of justice, culminating in a court confrontation with Badalamenti. It serves as a poignant testament to the enduring struggle against organized crime and the courage required to seek truth in the face of overwhelming power. The narrative highlights the bravery of an individual challenging a formidable system, offering a compelling look at a protracted fight for accountability.
