INNOCENT BEHIND BARS

Cinemavixion Review

This compelling documentary plunges into the harrowing ordeal of Kristine Bunch, a young mother whose life was shattered by a tragic fire and a subsequent accusation of arson and murder. The narrative unfolds with gut-wrenching detail, chronicling Bunch's wrongful conviction at the age of 21 and her subsequent seventeen-year fight for justice from behind bars. The film powerfully illustrates the devastating impact of flawed fire science and the resilience required to dismantle a flawed legal process. Viewers witness not only the fight for exoneration but also the profound personal journey of a mother separated from her children and the eventual triumph of truth and reunification. It's a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit in the face of profound injustice.
