INNOCENCE FOR SALE: KIDS ON SOUTH AFRICA'S STREETS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the stark reality of childhood lost on the streets of South Africa's capital. It offers a raw, unflinching look at girls, some as young as twelve, whose daily existence is defined by labor rather than the innocence typically associated with youth. The narrative forces viewers to confront difficult truths about societal neglect and the resilience of young lives under immense pressure. Through intimate interviews and observational footage, the film sheds light on the systemic issues that lead to such circumstances, prompting reflection on vulnerability and survival in the face of adversity. It is a powerful, albeit somber, testament to the experiences of those often overlooked.
