INNER DEMON

Cinemavixion Review

Ursula Dabrowsky's 'Inner Demon' plunges viewers into a harrowing narrative that blurs the lines between human depravity and supernatural terror. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread, beginning with the chilling abduction of a teenage girl by a serial killer couple. Her desperate escape leads her to an isolated farmhouse, a seemingly safe haven that quickly reveals itself as the epicenter of a far more ancient and malevolent force. Dabrowsky skillfully utilizes the confined setting to amplify the psychological tension, allowing Sarah Jeavons's compelling performance to anchor the audience's fear. The film's strength lies in its unsettling blend of slasher tropes and ghostly apparitions, creating a unique and unnerving experience. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the 67% on Rotten Tomatoes indicates a more favorable critical outlook, highlighting 'Inner Demon' as a noteworthy entry in the psychological horror genre that rewards patient viewers with its escalating scares and disturbing revelations.
