INHERITANCE

Cinemavixion Review

Krister, a Swede of Polish descent, finds his solitary life on a small island near Stockholm stagnating into a slow death. His infrequent visits to Poland, tinged with sad memories from his teenage years, are solely for the purpose of inheriting a countryside cottage. Upon arrival in Warsaw, Krister is taken aback by the city's contemporary vibrancy and apparent prosperity, a stark contrast to his own life. His reunion with Grzegorz, a former teenage friend now a successful eye surgeon, introduces a new dynamic. However, the most profound shock comes with the appearance of Ewa, a young woman who captures Krister's affection, reigniting a sense of purpose and vitality he thought long lost. This narrative explores themes of memory, identity, and the unexpected renewal of life through connection.
