INGENIUM

Cinemavixion Review

Ingenium plunges viewers into a world where the line between reality and hallucination blurs. The film masterfully explores the revelation of hidden superpowers as Felicitas embarks on a perilous journey to free her best friend, Natascha, from a psychiatric institution. Director Steffen Hacker crafts a tense atmosphere, amplified by the compelling performances of Erkan Acar and Anne Alexander-Sieder, who anchor the narrative with their portrayal of a deep, complex friendship tested by extraordinary circumstances. While the film delves into themes of mental health and burgeoning abilities, it's the underlying mystery and the characters' struggle for self-discovery that truly captivate. "Ingenium" offers a thought-provoking narrative that resonates long after the credits roll, hinting at a larger, perhaps sinister, force at play.
