INFLICTION

Cinemavixion Review

Jack Thomas Smith's "Infliction" is a chilling found-footage horror film that emerged in 2014. The film purports to present the actual assembled footage from two brothers who documented a disturbing murder spree across North Carolina in 2011. Smith, who also penned the screenplay, directs and stars, weaving a narrative that delves into the grim consequences of actions and inactions, blurring the lines between societal criminals and victims. While the film garnered one award and a modest box office return of $5,875, it received a 4.5/10 rating on IMDb. "Infliction" offers a raw and unsettling look into the darker aspects of human nature, making it a notable entry for fans of the true-crime and found-footage subgenres.
