Piero Schivazappa's "Incontro" is a poignant Italian drama from 1971 that delves into the complexities of a forbidden love affair. Starring Massimo Ranieri and Florinda Bolkan, the film explores the emotional landscape of a young man entangled with a married woman. The narrative skillfully navigates her internal conflict, torn between her neglectful husband and her passionate yet potentially precarious relationship with her lover, who is significantly younger. "Incontro" is celebrated for its sensitive portrayal of desire, societal constraints, and the fear of age disparity within romantic pursuits, earning a respectable 7.9 on IMDb.
