INCEST, BETRAYAL, AND MURDER: ANCIENT EGYPT'S OTHER QUEEN CLEOPATRA

Cinemavixion Review

While Cleopatra VII remains etched in popular history, the documentary "Incest, Betrayal, and Murder: Ancient Egypt's Other Queen Cleopatra" compellingly shifts the spotlight to Cleopatra II, a ruler whose reign was equally, if not more, fraught with drama. This exploration delves into a period of ancient Egyptian history often overshadowed, revealing a narrative steeped in familial discord, political intrigue, and a struggle for power. The film promises a fascinating look at the personal and public life of a queen who navigated the treacherous waters of dynastic succession, incestuous relationships, and outright betrayal. It's an invitation to uncover the lesser-known, yet equally captivating, sagas that shaped one of history's most enduring civilizations, highlighting the complex realities of power beyond the most famous pharaohs.
