Chantal Lasbats' 2019 documentary, "In A Pierre & Gilles Photo," invites viewers into the singular world of the celebrated French artistic duo, Pierre et Gilles. For decades, their distinctive hyper-colorful portraits, which masterfully fuse photography with painting, have captivated audiences and challenged conventional art definitions. This film offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at their creative sanctuary—a home studio where the meticulous transformation of photographic images into vibrant, painted masterpieces unfolds. It's a fascinating exploration of a unique artistic process that has defined a generation of visual art.
