I'LL BE THERE WITH YOU

Cinemavixion Review

Akihiro Kitamura's 2006 thriller, "I'll Be There with You," offers a genre-bending descent into a spring break road trip that rapidly devolves into a nightmarish ordeal. The narrative follows Aki and his school friends whose festive getaway takes a sinister turn as they encounter dangerous tourists and, more alarmingly, escaped mental patients. The film is anchored by a truly chilling performance from Daniel Baldwin, who embodies Constantine, a ranch owner whose menacing and demented nature escalates the terror. While the plot ventures into dark territory, it is punctuated by moments of suspense and, as noted, features a compelling soundtrack and attractive cast, making it a noteworthy, albeit disturbing, entry in the thriller genre.
