IL MISTERO DI LOVECRAFT: ROAD TO L

Cinemavixion Review

This intriguing Italian documentary, "Il Mistero di Lovecraft: Road to L," delves into the fascinating potential connections between the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft and the eerie folk traditions of Italy's Po Delta region. Set in 1997, the film follows folklore student Andrea Roberti as he posits a link between Lovecraft's unsettling narratives and the dark, local tales of the area. The documentary also chronicles the experiences of a film crew tasked with producing a documentary on the American writer himself. While the film explores a niche but compelling subject, its limited availability and the lack of external corroboration make it a discovery for only the most dedicated fans of Lovecraftian lore and regional folklore.
