Cinemavixion Review

In "Il caso difficile del Commissario Maigret," directed by Alfred Weidenmann, Heinz Rühmann embodies the iconic French detective. The narrative plunges into a high-stakes art heist when a priceless Van Gogh vanishes from a Parisian museum. Maigret's investigation leads him on a chase to Lausanne, following his primary suspect, only to find the trail ending in murder. This setup promises a classic mystery, blending the intellectual rigor of Maigret's methods with the suspense of a thrilling chase. The film, released in 1966, likely reflects the cinematic style of its era, offering a potentially intriguing look at the legendary commissioner navigating a complex case across international borders.
