IED: IMPROVE EVERY DAY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, 'IED: Improve Every Day,' chronicles the profound personal journeys of two veterans, Stevie Richardson and Kenny Simm. Richardson's life was irrevocably altered by a severe injury sustained from an Improvised Explosive Device in Afghanistan, leading to a challenging recovery and a struggle with his new identity. Simm, a former Royal Marines Commando, also grappled with adjusting to civilian life after his service. Their paths converge when Simm introduces Richardson to the world of 'strongman' competitions. This shared pursuit becomes an emotionally demanding expedition, culminating in their participation in an event hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Columbus, Ohio. The film delves into the complexities of their friendship and their individual quests for fulfillment beyond their military experiences, highlighting the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
