I TREASURE OF THE AMAZON

Cinemavixion Review

René Cardona Jr.'s "I Treasure Of The Amazon" plunges viewers into a perilous jungle adventure where the pursuit of riches becomes a brutal test of survival. The narrative unfolds with a classic pulp sensibility, pitting three distinct groups of treasure hunters against a treacherous environment and its formidable inhabitants. The film expertly ratchets up the tension as alliances shift and betrayals loom, all while the characters contend with the untamed wilderness and its natural dangers. Stuart Whitman, Donald Pleasence, and Bradford Dillman anchor the expedition with performances that navigate the fine line between greed and desperation. Cardona Jr. crafts a thrilling, albeit unpolished, expedition that captures the spirit of old-school jungle epics, offering a suspenseful journey into the heart of the unknown where every step could be one's last.
