I AM INNOCENT NEW ZEALAND

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary transports viewers to the idyllic shores of Rarotonga, following the journey of retired shearer Alex McDonald in 2009. Escaping the New Zealand winter, McDonald embraces island life, embarking on what he believes will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure as crew on a yacht bound for Tonga. The narrative introduces skipper David Parkinson, a British sailor battling Parkinson's disease, adding a layer of complex human experience to the seafaring tale. The film captures the allure of escapism and the unexpected turns life can take when one ventures into the unknown, set against the vibrant backdrop of the South Pacific.
