I AM A GHOST

Cinemavixion Review

H.P. Mendoza's 'I Am a Ghost' offers a poignant and introspective journey into the afterlife, anchored by a compelling performance from Anna Ishida as Emily, a spirit tethered to her earthly home. The narrative, a delicate dance between the spectral and the psychic, unfolds as Emily's existence is disrupted by Sylvia, a clairvoyant. This unusual dynamic morphs into a therapeutic exploration of Emily's past, gradually revealing the mysteries that bind her. Mendoza masterfully crafts an atmosphere of melancholic introspection, using the confines of the haunted house to amplify the protagonist's internal struggle. The film delves into themes of memory, loss, and the arduous process of acceptance, making for a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
