HUIE'S SERMON

Cinemavixion Review

Werner Herzog's "Huie's Sermon" offers a raw and unvarnished glimpse into the spiritual fervor of Reverend Huie L. Rogers as he delivers an electrifying sermon in his Brooklyn church. Captured with Herzog's signature observational intensity, this 1981 documentary transcends mere recording, delving into the power of faith and oratorical skill. While the external data points to a runtime of 40 minutes and a genre classification as Documentary, the local data's description, though brief, captures the essence of the film's passionate core. It's a compelling piece that showcases Herzog's early mastery in documenting compelling human experiences, inviting viewers to witness a profound display of religious conviction.
