HOWL

Cinemavixion Review

Paul Hyett's "Howl" plunges viewers into a claustrophobic nightmare aboard a speeding train, where a group of unsuspecting passengers finds themselves hunted by a terrifying creature of folklore. The film masterfully builds suspense, transforming the confined space of the train into a pressure cooker of fear and desperation. Elliot Cowan and Rosie Day anchor the ensemble cast, delivering performances that convey a palpable sense of terror and resilience as they band together against the encroaching darkness. With its blend of creature feature thrills and survival horror, "Howl" offers a visceral and engaging cinematic experience, proving that even in the most confined settings, the fight for survival can be utterly ferocious. It's a commendable entry into the modern horror landscape, particularly for its effective use of atmosphere and its commitment to practical scares.
