HOW ICE OPERATES DETAINMENT CENTRES | BEYOND BORDERS | TCC

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a stark, unflinching look into the complex operations of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) within its detainment centers. Through vignettes in Miami, Newark, and San Diego, we witness the rigorous process of processing individuals with criminal histories, including drug trafficking and domestic violence, and the apprehension of dangerous offenders like child sexual predators. The segment on 'Ice Air' in San Diego provides a glimpse into the logistical challenges of repatriation flights. While the film lacks specific directorial or cast credits, its strength lies in its direct, observational approach, presenting the realities faced by officers and the individuals encountered. It serves as a crucial, albeit sobering, examination of a critical aspect of border security and immigration enforcement.
