HOW FIDEL CASTRO WAS NEARLY ASSASSINATED BY A 19-YEAR--OLD GIRL | CIA DECLASSIFIED

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into a remarkable and chilling chapter of Cold War history, focusing on the CIA's audacious 1959 plot to eliminate Fidel Castro. The narrative centers on Marita Lorenz, a nineteen-year-old recruited for this high-stakes mission. The film details her recruitment and her attempt to assassinate the Cuban leader using poison pills, a method as daring as it was fraught with peril. While the director and cast are not specified, the core story itself is a compelling exploration of espionage, political intrigue, and the lengths to which intelligence agencies would go during this tense era. The documentary offers a unique perspective on a clandestine operation that, had it succeeded, could have dramatically altered the course of history.
