It captures the ensuing media storm and the revival of ancient Vatican customs. The film explores the speculation surrounding Benedict's departure, touching on health concerns and internal Church matters, positioning the Catholic Church at a critical juncture. It vividly portrays the unusual period of two popes residing together in the Vatican and the subsequent, highly secretive conclave.
