HOURS

Cinemavixion Review

"Hours" plunges viewers into a desperate fight for survival, set against the terrifying backdrop of Hurricane Katrina. This intense thriller, starring Paul Walker and Genesis Rodriguez, captures the harrowing reality of a city ravaged by nature's fury and the profound human instinct to protect one's offspring. Walker delivers a compelling performance as a father trapped in a critical 48-hour ordeal within an evacuated hospital, battling to keep his premature newborn alive as power fails and the storm rages. Director Eric Heisserer masterfully builds suspense, focusing on the claustrophobic atmosphere and the raw emotional stakes. While the film may not have garnered widespread accolades, its tight focus on a single, high-stakes scenario offers a poignant and gripping experience, highlighting resilience and the will to live in the face of overwhelming disaster.
